This originally published on April 11, 2018 on Uproxx, but was deleted from the internet. A couple of interesting things happened after this published. I've never experienced a reaction to a piece quite like the reaction to this one. The term "clickbait" was thrown around, but not in the normal way. First of all, I'm not a "clickbait" writer, so being associated with that term in the first place was unusual. Second, clickbait is associated with a headline that promises one thing, often outrageous, but in the end, there's no substance. The headline is there only to make you want to click on the article. With this one, I heard from so many people who assumed this was clickbait, then read it, then admitted, "Oh, yeah, this is pretty accurate." There should be a term for a catchy headline that delivers. Maybe "clickmeal"? (In the end, you and your god will have to be the one to judge if this is clickbait or clickmeal.)

The second interesting thing was, shortly after this originally published, Kevin Jonas followed me on Twitter. I was expecting to hear something from him one way or another – but never did. To this day we still follow us on Twitter (which is now called X, if you did not know that) and I have never heard from him once about this piece. When he followed me he was following less than 1000 people (he's slightly over that now), so this wasn't some sort of automatic bot-type follow. This tells me that Kevin Jonas has read this. I can't even begin to imagine what he thinks of it. If I had to guess, I'd like to think he agrees with the basic premise? But, at the same time, I suspect he probably has a defense of the decision he made on Celebrity Apprentice.

Every day is now a constant state of suck. I do not own a time machine, but if I did own a time machine, there is one specific moment that occurred in early 2014 that gave us the Trump Presidency — and if someone does own a time machine, please pay attention. What’s strange about it is that it’s a pretty small moment, one not many people think about anymore. And, frankly, if you’re a fan of Donald Trump, if this one moment is changed, I bet Trump would be happier in his life right now, too. So, I plead with you, if you own a time machine, please go back and tell Kevin Jonas to bring Lorenzo Lamas into the boardroom on Celebrity Apprentice instead of Ian Ziering. This one decision had repercussions that the entire world now feels today.
