'SNL' Needs To Do Something About These Trump Sketches
Connor Storrie was pretty good for his first time hosting SNL this past Saturday, but I also felt pretty bad for him. He was basically put in an impossible situation of hosting SNL hours after a war started when people are both angry and scared. This was all set up to be a victory lap for both the U.S. women and men's gold medal winning hockey teams, hosted by the co-star of the big new hockey show sweeping the universe, Heated Rivalry. (A show I have seen in its entirety.) Instead, once again, SNL is put in the position of being the first cultural touchstone to have air after a terrible thing. (This administration does seem to save a lot of its horrific ideas for late Friday night.) And SNL wasn't really built for this.
