The Lesson I Learned From Richard Gere Chasing Me Down A Hotel Hallway
"Stop that elevator!" These are the words I hear as I step onto the elevator, turn around, and see Richard Gere running after me full speed. I remember thinking, "Oh, shit."
That is your tease for the story I'm going to share this week based on a reader question. So, let's get into it.
Did you see this controversy about a Clayface review? What did you think about that? – Nick
I actually missed it at first, then had to go back and catch up. But, more importantly, I will use this question as an excuse to share another awkward interaction I had with a famous actor. Which, yes, resulted in Richard Gere chasing me down the hallway of the Crosby Street Hotel in the Soho neighborhood of New York City because he told me something he wishes he didn’t. And that actual lesson I learned from that experience... (and, yes, I do reveal what he said).

If you decide to become a paying subscriber today, there is plenty left to this post, plus a lot more like the story a famous person told me about Tom Cruise, Digger himself, that is now my favorite Tom Cruise story; accidentally tricking a Lost actor into telling me the ending; and the time Larry King called me a "freak" and asked if I was "a nerd.")
