The Hard Pass turned three months old this week. It's weird, I've actually been enjoying the experience of newsletter writing so much more than I thought I would, I'm kind of kicking myself for not starting earlier. On the other hand, things have a way of working out they way they are supposed to. And by the time Uproxx ended, I was so burned out, there was no way I could have jumped into doing basically the same thing, only without a salary and health benefits. So, three months it is.

Speaking of a salary and health benefits, unfortunately, no, The Hard Pass does not provide these things. Its continued existence is dependent on paid subscribers. Without them, I should be putting my time to better financial use, like being a chimney sweep. Or maybe I'll become an alchemist. Also, if you are sick of reading AI, rest assured there will never be any of that here. WOuld AI leave the "o" mistakenly capitalized in the word "would." I don't think so. You can only get typos like that at The Hard Pass.

If you are on the fence, I will now try to entice you with the prospects of reading about what it was like at The Rise of Skywalker premiere party, or my favorite Tom Cruise story, or a history of my bad interviews with Jonah Hill, or the time I think I hurt Jeff Bridges's feelings, and the time an SNL cast member said "fuck you" to my face. I have about 1000 more of these kind of stories coming if that is at all appealing. If it is not, I appreciate you being here anyway.

Speaking of SNL, a feature I had been working on for weeks about SNL UK published on Wednesday, which you can read here. It's been good! And just yesterday its renewal was announced, so all my time working on a feature did not go to waste on a canceled show.

Okay! Having said all that, let's answer some reader questions about SNL hosts, movie theater snacks, and chicken wings.

Matt Damon hosting now for the third time got me thinking - what one- or two-time host(s) would you like to see come back to host again? My answers are Edward Norton, Andy Samberg, and Jason Sudeikis. — JJ
